Coping is relatively easy, once you get the hang of it. Healthy coping is seeing a roadblock, acknowledging the roadblock, and developing a reasonably prudent plan to go over or around it with the least possible pain. On occasion you would be well advised to judiciously turn yourself around and find another road. Learn to tell the difference.

Can you cope as well as Hermione, the spell casting wiz of Hogwarts? Hermione always has a spell and a plan for every stunningly horrific event in her life whether it originates with a gigantically repulsive snake, a formidable dark side spell or a wicked wizard.

Hermione is an avid learner with a devastatingly deadly magic wand, but most important of all she has unconditional confidence in her ability to overcome obstacles. If you honestly believe in yourself, coping will come naturally. Confidence isn't something you have or don't have it is something for which you must search -- deep within yourself. Make well considered choices, accept the occasional bumps in life with equilibrium and celebrate your many successes. Phenomenal self-confidence is only steps away. Let's take the quiz and learn your coping quotient.

Answer "yes" for each statement that sounds like your coping style and "no" for each question that is definitely not you. The maximum score is 10 and the minimum is 0.

1. You have come to the turbulent end of a legendary romance. You sniff a good bit, run through a box of Kleenex and call your friends for support and step get back into the exciting world of romance -- when you have healed.

2. Your job just went down the tubes because of the current economic mess. You buy a half gallon of cherry ripple ice cream and stay in bed ranting against fate for 3 hours then -- THEN you pull up your boot straps, tighten your belt and start job shopping.

3. On a regular yearly physical you discover you are diabetic and must change your life style. Naturally, you are thrown off balance. Then, you read everything you can find on the disorder and question friends who are also diabetic -- and make well considered choices.

4. You are standing in front of an audience of executives speaking on your area of expertise. You suddenly realize that a couple of rude individuals are snickering and pointing--your zipper is down (Yes, it can happen to women too.). You turn around, zip your zipper and continue to speak -- after all, you have important points to make.

5. You have been stressed out by your heavy work schedule. You decide this must stop! You begin to walk for 30-60 minutes each day, even if the work has to wait.

6. You hear through the grape vine, that your lover may be spreading his (her) love among the masses. You reach for your phone to spew forth every colorful name you can think of. Then you realize he/she is not worthy of you and start putting one foot in front of the other -- you have things to do. Remember, we don't own people.

7. Your weight is creeping up and you are distressed. You cut down on heavy calorie laden foods and give yourself a nice present at the end of the week (Hint: not a hot fudge sundae).

8. Your best friend is moving to another state. You do everything together and you cannot image what life will be without her to share you fun, trials and laughter. This is a real bummer. You drink a nice hot cup of soothing tea and plan your strategy. After talking with a few people you trust -- you have a plan to meet new friends and start to investigate a new interest -- or maybe go back to school.

9. You are angry with a co-worker who takes great delight in spreading nasty innuendo to anyone who wanders within her voice range. You are the target this time. You take a few deep breaths and decide, "It isn't fair and I am seriously ticked, but I can't control her behavior." However, I can put a tick in her chair -- just kidding.

10. You have identified and practice at least five successful ways to calm yourself when you are stressed.
