This is an exercise in futility, because I have already said that "cool" cannot be defined, but I am going to attempt to define it. If you are truly cool you respect human dignity with your words and your deeds. Cool is timeless and ageless. Awesomely cool individuals are uniquely consistent. They are always true to their values and principles under all circumstances. Cool folks develop a value system early in life and remain steadfast in their adherence throughout their lifetimes. Cool cannot be purchased even by Mr. Gate’s billions. Tom Cruise would be cool if it was available for purchase or due to sexy looks alone. He has the worn jeans and black t-shirts and great cars. Cool requires an inner peace, balance and harmony. Cool does not under any imaginable circumstances, jump up and down on Oprah's sofa. Oprah is not quite cool, though she could be someday; she is inconsistent. Cool is not tossed about in a storm or withered by heat. Cool endures.
